Effectively
all glass fibres (e.g. C-glass and E-glass fibres and related
types ) are manufactured using glass fibre bushings of PtRh
alloys. In some cases, the dispersion hardened variants of
these alloys are used.
Ravindra
Heraeus produces glass fibre bushings to customer specifications
with base plates manufactured using welded tips.
Bushing
base-plates with pressed tips are free from welds which could
become a weak point if procedures are not carried out correctly.
We also manufactures glass fibre bushings for extreme thermal
and corrosive conditions such as arise in the processing of
molten basalt. In addition to intensive process control during
the production process, the finished bushings are subjected
to a thorough inspection to ensure leak-tightness and conformity
with all critical dimensional requirements.
